4-Module Course: Philosophizing with Children – Implementation in Educational Practice (20 instructional units per two modules)

Module 1: Who am I? – The Pillars of the Self
The aim of the first module is to develop competencies for addressing philosophical questions and understanding the framework for philosophical conversations. Participants will gain initial experience in moderating philosophical discussions and learn the necessary prerequisites for practical implementation in their own educational settings. They will learn techniques to develop philosophical questions. Thematically, this module focuses on life topics related to the self, illustrated through the concept of the "pillars of the self."

Module 2: What Does Relationship Mean? – Interpersonal Connections
The second training module centers on the philosophical attitude, with a thematic focus on "relationships" and "interpersonal connections." Additionally, the role of the discussion leader in philosophical conversations will be explored more deeply and enhanced through advanced facilitation techniques. During a practical transfer session, participants can share and address experiences and challenges with the seminar leader. The differences between philosophical discussions and other forms of dialogue will be clarified through exercises, concluding the second module.
Module 3: What is Reality? – Objects and Reality
In the third module, participants learn new techniques for deepened inquiry in philosophical conversations. Following the philosophical question and attitude (Modules 1 and 2), philosophical activities are considered and worked out as a method. Reality and the things that surround us and make up the world are the content focus of this third module. The second practice transfer represents another important building block in Module 3.
Module 4: How Do We Want to Live? – Values & Responsibility
The final module centers on values and responsibility as well as the final presentations of the participants. Topics such as "What is a value? What is important in life? What does responsibility mean?" are the main focus. The aspiring discussion leaders will also get to know a more advanced variant of philosophizing. The festive certificate ceremony at the end of the second day concludes this training series.

Instructional Units: 20 (per two modules)

Cost: €180 per module
